Christchurch Connections and Health Hub
Christchurch PCN, including Farmhouse Surgery, partnered with Compassionate Communities UK and Affordable Housing and Healthcare Group to create the Christchurch Connections and Health Hub. Its aim is to help you improve your health and wellbeing by connecting you with local groups and services, strengthening our community connections, as well as providing information about national resources. There is all sorts of information across varying topics such as: carers, exercise, mental health, social groups and many more! All of the websites listed on the directory have been carefully selected and manually uploaded by Christchurch PCN to make sure they are reliable sources of information.
Overall, the Christchurch Connections and Health Hub is an invaluable resource for anyone looking to improve their health and wellbeing, connect with others in the community, or access national resources.
Christchurch PCN
Did you know? Your surgery is a part of the Christchurch Primary Care Network (PCN). The Farmhouse Surgery, Highcliffe Medical Centre , Christchurch Medical Practice and Stour Surgery are working collaboratively to provide coordinated and enhanced care for you. We understand that many patients may not be aware of this national initiative.
‘Tech Buddy’ sessions
Looking to boost your digital skills in a friendly environment? Christchurch and Highcliffe libraries offer 'tech buddy' sessions on specific days each month. These sessions, tailored to your needs, provide one-on-one assistance with computers, tablets, or smartphones. Volunteers can support you with tasks like online banking, shopping, or filling out forms online. To book a session, contact the library directly. It's a great opportunity for personalized learning and support.
Bowel Cancer Screening
Individuals aged 60 to 74 in England, registered with a GP, receive an NHS bowel cancer screening kit every 2 years. Using a home test kit called a faecal immunochemical test (FIT), you collect a small sample and send it to a lab to check for tiny amounts of blood. It helps prevent or detect bowel cancer early for easier treatment. Please ensure your correct address is on file for kit delivery, and return the kit promptly for results.
Fake Lloyds Pharmacy Emails
A phishing email campaign is currently targeting people with fake Lloyds Pharmacy emails. The emails falsely claim that by signing up for LloydsDirect you can easily manage prescriptions and get free delivery. These emails contain links designed to steal personal/financial information or install malware. The fraudsters have made the emails appear more genuine by including LloydsDirect/NHS logos and Trustpilot reviews. However, these emails are fake. Do not click any links, provide info, or sign up through these emails. Double check directly with your pharmacy if unsure.
